Hi everyone, well Ashbourne has come and gone and what a great day it was for all who attended, the wind was strong but didn't spoil the family atmosphere. Well done to Penny taking out the overall winners trophy with an exceptional score of 22 points in reasonably difficult conditions at times. Congratulations to all the grade winners, kids and visiting winners, which leaves only one prize remaining the NAGA award and that honourĀ goes to Mr. David Kemp who could only manage 9 points better luck next year Kempy, there were a few not far behind you though me included. Many thanks go to: Rob Dale who has sponsored the day for many many years and does a fabulous job on the BBQ, to Lucas Macann for donating all the meat and bacon, Liz and Penny for the wonderful salads and desert, to all the committee members Robbo, DC5, Hunty, Big Kev, Bulmers, for all the behind the scenes organisation and BBQ assistance, for without all these wonderful helpers the day just would not happen, a job well done.
Next year Ashbourne will once again be held on the last Sunday in October, already looking forward to seeing everyone there.
On Sunday 12th of November is our last away game for 2017 at Links Lady bay tee off commencing at 10am, putting comp 9.15am. come up Saturday afternoon and spend the night if you can, would be nice to have a group of us there for dinner and a few drinks, did i say a few drinks....well you know what i mean!!!
Just for interest sake the current standings for the away games played are as follows:
current leader on 145 points is Steve McKenna
2nd place on 137 points is Graham Hunt
3rd place on 133 points is Jarrod Rowland
4th place on 132 points is Mike Taylor
with one round being washed out it will be the highest point scorer over 4 rounds so any of the top four leaders can still win overall after dropping their lowest score.
cheers
see ya Saturday
