The scene is set, a tap in putt to finish the hole (1 inch from the hole and it's all over). No left to right or right to left break, no speed issues to worry about just a little tap in putt to finish off the hole. Up steps Mark Squire to the plate, batter up and hey presto it's all over. Well Mark putted like Norh Melbourne played this year, Crap. He strikes the ball and moves the ball 3/4 of an inch the ball rocked and came to a standstill a 1/4 of an inch from the hole. Bad luck Mark, better luck next time. By the way Mark there is still always room on the Crows Gravy Train for extra supporters . Okay lets talk about the Snake in the Grass lerking in the tall grass. Klaus Ebdrup put in another fine performance taking the day from Dave Kemp on a countback. Klaus shot a 78 of the stick only 2 shots away from Ray Saxby's lowest off the stick 76 for the year. Thats great golf Klaus. Bad luck to Dave Kemp who shot an 82 off the stick to come in with a nett 64 as well, also good golf too Dave. Phil Salvemini has been back for a while but it's good to see Phil back and playing golf after is absence for a short period of time, its also good to see Ray Saxby playing again as well after his fall. Congratulations to Damien Chicco on the birth of his little girl, well done Damien. Lindsay Jones rang myself the other night from Collie in Western Australia and sends his regards to everyone at the Club. Linsay will be back at the end of October and is looking forward to catch up with everyone and play a little golf. Congratulations to Frankie Balter, Phil Edwards and Graham Hunt on winning the L Plates in your respective Grades. The club would also like to take the opportunity to welcome Steve McKenna's Brother Paul Mckenna on joining our club.
