It was another great turnout for round 8 of the summer cup, 26 players teed off, but as always there can only be one victor, congratulations to Colin Priest winning the day with a very impressive 41 points and sources tell me he also took out the "King George Close" cup, well done CP. runner up to Colin was Mike (the champ) Taylor posting a very nice 40 points.
There is a certain member of our club that when playing, every other member knows which hole he is on, not mentioning his name ( Sara O'Connor ) this person really enjoys his round of golf and generally we know what type of round he is having,,, until yesterday when the group (Sara O'Connor) was playing with found his "MUTE" button hallelujah, well done to Brenton and Conrad, you have to let the rest of us know the secret.
The course gossip: 1. Big Kev smashed his drive short of the ladies tee on the 4th ( JUG ) 2. Super Man has an airy on the 8th ( JUG ) 3. Greg Matthews plays what ever ball looks better ( B grade naga ) 4. Frank the freak Balter shanks his ball when only 70 meters out from the 18th green straight into the trees,( you are human after all ) 5. Matty rubber man Loan has great taste in toe nail polish, just ask he will show you.
The birdie hole money went off yesterday, well done to Paul (three putt) Johnson and Super man sharing around $24
Just a reminder Presentation Dinner night money is due now $50 per head
